Invitation for 'Kites and Smiling Faces'

The Invitation for 'Kites and Smiling Faces', an exhibition of Paintings by
Kajal Charankatt and Mody Thomas

which starts on 24 July.
It will be on display till 8th August.

Prof. M.K. Sanoo will preside over this function.

Mrs.Ranjini (Malayalam actress of Chitram fame) will be the chief guest and will inaugurate the exhibit.

Prof. M. K. Sanoo is a critic, writer and editor of popular local magazine from Kerala. He is also a permanent member of International body for Human rights. He is also the founding member of Mithram, School for Mentally Handicapped, in Mulanthuruthy village of Ernakulam district, Kerala.

Vernissage will commence an Art School from 24^th July 2010 at its premises in Cochin, Kerala.

The courses can be attended by beginners or by students who have already had contact with the various art techniques. There are several short term courses other than painting and drawing. Our course enables you to become literate in the language of art and allows you to make informed choices for your future career.

Vernissage art gallery will conduct a Painting Competition for Children from Special School to mark one month of Vernissage.Students from Cochin will participate in the event. There will be two groups.Prizes will be awarded.Prizes are sponsored by Camlin.

Exhibition by C N Karunakaran

Exhibition of Paintings by eminent artist Mr. C.N. Karunakaran is on till 27 June 2010. Mr. Karunakaran needs no introduction. He is a prominent figure of the Madras School and the winner of many national and international awards .

30 paintings mostly in Acrylics are displayed at the exhibit.

Vernissage Inauguration

Vernissage art gallery was inaugurated on 20 June 2010 by eminent artist Mr.C.N. Karunakaran in the presence of worshipful Mayor of Cochin, Prof. Mercy Williams and artist Mr. T. Kaladharan.

A painting competition was held for children below the age of 16 years.
