Apposite Possibilities



“Apposite Possibilities” is an exhibition of Ceramics and Paintings being held at Vernissage Art Gallery from 18th April – 30th April 2011 from 11 am to 7 pm.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by Mr. C N Karunakaran, eminent artist and Chairman, Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy on 18th April (Monday) at 5.30 pm.

Sushma Anand, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, completed her formal art education from Stella Maris College, Chennai before she joined Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry to pursue her passion of ceramics.

Parul Shah, a self taught artist from Mumbai, pursued her love of painting after marriage.
Both Sushma and Parul explore and express their creativity through distinct and unique styles.
Sushma’s works are mostly stoneware and she has successfully experimented blending different media and style. Many of her ceramic creations have been influenced and inspired by the Kerala Mural Arts.
Parul’s works are distinctively figurative in style and predominantly her media of choice is Charcoal and Soft pastels. She explores and celebrates facets of womanhood through her works.

Both artists have participated in several solo and group shows in India.
Sushma Anand will be conducting a workshop on Ceramics on 19th  & 20th  April from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
